Illustrator VS Photoshop on ease of use

I use both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for graphic designs but I have seriously noticed a different in how to the use operate. I was a newbie when I got them both and I had photo shop down within a week while Illustrator took months. What other softwares could I try out and have any of you experienced the same?

I find it very hard to understand what you are trying to say. Illustrator and Photoshop are different programs for different purposes.

Certainly a more sensible comparison would be Lightroom and Photoshop.

I would use Illustrator for any illustrations where you don't want text rasterized. PhotoShop for all else and if you have come across Lightroom I would use that for most of the pre editing for brightness, contrast, cropping and a whole slew of editing.
