Printing A6 when there is not an option for that size

I have been here before - wanting to print on A6 paper when the printer driver does not have that option.
I usualy put the A6 image onto an A4 background and set the printer to A4 but use A6 paper; there must be a better way ?

I am currently using a Canon IP4500 printer.

I set the printer onto 4"X6", there's a a difference of of a few mm, but at cropping I set the size to the exact measurments of the A6 (148mmX105mm) I've found A6 difficult to come by. Usually the big names have 150mmX100mm which is as close to 4X6 you're going to get.
    Hope this helps
