    Casio EX-H10

Wow! How does a Casio lens compare with say the Panasonic or Canon?
    I'm comparing Canon SX200is / Panasonic ZS3 / and the new Casio EX-H10.
Especially looking at the zoom as a function of thickness.

Could you clarify your definition of "thickness" of the lens please?

Do you mean the amount of its extension from the camera body, or the actual overall diameter of the lens barrel?

Thank you for responding. Use of camera is for pics of grandsons riding in horse shows; mountain scenery while trail-riding, soccer, roller hockey and basic family activities. Probably most pics will go into Picassa or Shutter Fly albums on-line for sharing with family. Enlargement prints, probably 5"x7" max.
Concerning "thickness", I'm referring to case size (1.5", 1.3" or 1.0"). Does Casio use the same quality lens that I would get with Canon or Panasonic?
This new released Casio will be shipping soon and the "pocketability" is very enticing.
    Zoom Equivalent dimensions/thickness
    Canon SX200is $340, 12x28-336mm 12Mp, 1/2.3”, 4.1x2.4x1.5=7.8
    Pan DMC-ZS3 $399, 12x25-300mm 10Mp, 1/2.3”, 4.1x2.4x1.3=7.3
    Casio EX-H10 $300, 10x24-240mm 12Mp, 1/2.3”, 4.0x2.5x1.0=5.8 -- Thanks
