    expandable ISO

What are companies referring to when they say a camera has 100-3200 ISO but that it can be boosted to 6400? how do you boost it?

Custom function enables/disables it. More lame marketing than anything else. They could simply have it "on" all the time like the other ISOs.

Especially when the Expanded ISOs are pretty damn clean and usually really useable anymore.

I mean i could see if the 6,400 wasn't really useable, just there for emergancies, making it an expand option so users don't accidentally switch to it... But it also isn't a big deal to go into the menu and turn it on. It's a one time flip of a switch. So no big deal.
