I think he's had these new lenses long enough to start hearing the 10-22 calling his name

Just noticed the book under the boxes- The best of Wedding Photojournalism. I just bought that last week. What do you think of it?

You need to update your signature with that new lens of yours forno. Now you've got all canon gear, must be a nice feeling.

Only really nice Canon lens I have is the 17-55

Gotta sell the kit lens and the Tamron 17-50, which SHOULD go into the 17-55 pot, but I can see that money looking remarkably like a 10-22

It would be worth adding the 50 and 75-300 to the list of sale items to get the 10-22. Of course you'll be hearing the sirens of singing for you to buy the 70-300 or a 70-200 after that but one lens at a time

It's the fact that I can't replace the functionality of those 2 EF-S lenses on my 1D that's forcing me to keep my 30D (although I've got to admit that although I have no NEED for a second body it sure is convenient having to change glass less frequently)

    My plan is a 70-200 2.8IS and a 10-22
    & a 30D

I think a 30D/40D will serve me more than adequately for the next few years so I dont foresee a 1D anytime soon

cant part with the 75-300 for the moment

yeah...that damn thing along with a 70-200 2.8 IS, a second body and a new camera bag/case. There is a lot I want/should have for that Sept 15 wedding. Just not sure how the $$ is gonna flow in before then. Case wise, I have been considering a Pelican 1510. Anybody use one of those?

The book is pretty good so far. A lot of common sense stuff, but I haven't had a chance to get to deep yet. I am also reading "Posing for the Portrait Photographer", trying to put together a price/package list, finalize a contract, put together some type of web presance and get a business card to print. It's a lot to do when, at the end of the day, there are only 2 hours or so to work it.

I am THRILLED with the new glass. Now I just need to make the time to head out!

Your hearing that, my bank account draining, and my wife yelling at me. Kind-of all sound the same -- like background noise!

I hear you. Now that I've got the 1DMIIN as a 2'nd body I'm looking for a new case also and have been toying with a Pelican and/or the Domke F1-X bag http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search

If I get up early enough I'm going to head over to B&H looking at these tomorrow. Anything you need me to check on the Pelican for you?

Mostly your overall impression. Is it to big & bulky, when the lid closes does it seem to snug things (llike short 50mm) down enough so they don't bounce around...that kinda stuff.

I can fill some spaces in it, but definately not ALL yet.

Thanks, your a pal for asking!
