    Actually... No.

The first part of the package is what normally comes with the camera body for $899.

As for the rest, it's pretty much... for a better word... junk.

The lenses are certainly not the best, or even very good. Adding a wide angle adapter to the 28-80 is truely a "jury rig" at best.

The flash is probably a $29 special that uses none of the D70s' (excellent) flash capability. Incidentely, the on-board flash will work pretty well for the near term, then later maybe spring for an SB600 or SB800.

    A good basic setup:

You can buy the D70s with the very excellent Nikkor 18-70 DX zoom for $1199 or less. You can pick up a decent 1GB CF card for about $50. Also you should own (and use) a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 (around $100) for taking low-light and portrait shots. More important accessories are a spare battery, and a decent carrying case like maybe a Lowepro TLZ mini, and maybe another 512MB or 1GB memory card.

You may have spent a little more, but at least the quality will match the cameras capabilities, instead of being an expensive point-n-shoot with removable lenses.

P.S. I think that the D70 is still availabe with the 18-70 DX lens for $979 after rebate. There is almost no real difference between the D70 and the D70s.
