View Full Version : Tips for photographing Fireworks

What tips would you have for photographing fireworks with a controls-less point and shoot?

There's the obvious stuff like keeping a steady hand and using modes that decrease the aperture, and setting focus to infinity, but is there anything else I could really do or will this be a fruitless attempt?

This is a camera with an effective focal length of 38-76 mm and no manual controls. (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/kodak/dc3400-review/) Any ideas?

Use a tripod.

And what if I don't have one? I'll probably have to find a fence or something solid, but the chances of having that AND still having a good shot at the sky are slim...
