I bet that several people have already suggested this, but it would be an incredible improvement to the site if there were a real photo gallery for users to post in rather than the forum gallery like we're using right now. As John succinctly put it, here is the problem with the current system.

You post a photo, and for a moment the title of your thread shows up on the front list, then someone else posts another photo, and WHAM! you're lost in "thread oblivion."

For this gallery, you would not want to give users the ability to upload full size images straight to DCRP. Instead, you want them to link to their own sites like we do currently.

What do you think?

But I have no idea how to implement such a thing with vBulletin.

Have a gallery link that leads off somewhere else instead :d

Would it be possible/practical to still upload here like in the threads? Instead of a size limit per photo maybe a size limit per member. That way if you wanted to upload a few full size images you could or you could use the space to upload more of the smaller size. These would be geared more toward constructive critiques which is what I think Phistio was getting at. Just my 2 cents worth. Thanks.

Is that the case? Check on VB.org for simple systems that integrate with vBulletin. Here are the two most popular ones I found.

Coppermine Integration (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=62778)
4Images Gallery Integration (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66335)

I particularly like this second one, but either gallery system would be a nice addition.
