Jeff,

I see on the homepage of the DCRP site that you are planning to "attempt" a vacation in July. I hope you enjoy yourself. You deserve it!

Be sure to take plenty of pictures! :-)

Thanks Wingsley! This is my second attempt at viewing the space shuttle launch (http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7280) from the press area at KSC. Let's hope they don't push it back again! And you bet I'll be taking pictures, that's why I've got the press pass!

You should hit up your canon rep for a nice big L lens to "test out" as part of your picture taking :p

Get a nice 400 F2.8 L IS to test :p

And you'll get a workout Jeff! At f2.8 @ 400mm that sweet piece of glass will also double as a curling weight!

Does it mean that you're not taking any secret black camera with you (maybe the rumoured Canon EOS between the 20D and the 1DMk2 or the rumoured Nikon D200)?

:D

Unfortunately it's not looking like that's gonna happen. Damn.

Does that mean that those cameras actually exist, but you're just not getting one??

I have no idea if they exist... I don't know of anything new from anybody right now.

Yeah, bummer. But better safe than sorry...

Maybe Jeff will set up an East Coast branch. Orlando? Could be worse.

Like Steve Buscemi said, we're sitting on 4 million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has over 270,000 moving parts all built by the lowest bidder. LOL :D You'd never get me to sit in a billion dollar bottlerocket built by the lowest bidder.
