We bought this Kodak DX7590 to take on a cruise in May. This is the first picture I snapped with it on March 12'th.

I see a beautiful Golden Retriever ... kinda reminds me of mine and a pretty good photo too.

Mine waiting for the squirrels to come back:

Another one of Baxter.
"But Dad it's only been three hours... can't I stay out just one more hour... I know those squirrels are over here somewhere!"

And yes MrForgetable, that is snow... March 11'th we got over 3 feet!

JTL,
You'd think he'd be sick of the snow too but I had previously used my snowshoes to make him a path out back and I'll be damned if he will only walk on the snow and not the grass now.
As for me... give me crystal blue water, 80 degree temps, bikinis (or not), and someone asking me "will there be anything else sir?"!!!!

I didn't get in on the cat threads (my cats still won't talk to me for leaving them out), but here's one of our Sandy; she's 1/2 Lab, 1/4 Husky, and 1/4 Shiba--but her personality is pure Angel.

That first picture is a keeper! Wonderful shot, nice white balance. Your dog has a look of determination that you just can't beat! :)

for some reason, when i first saw that shot, it appeared you had photochopped the dog into it. can't explain the impression, just thought i'd share it. anyway, now that there's a dog thread, i'll go home and snap some pics with my new digital camera and post them.

my cat already thinks the flashbulb is satan, but she sits in my lap and lets me play with macro settings shooting the back of her head... when i can get her to turn around and look at me, i might post her, too. ;)

I find the DX7590 to be a nice all around camera.
I'm just starting out in the world of digital and for my purposes it works just fine.
The previous shots of Baxter were taken using the auto setting with little or no enhancement other than cropping and resizing to post on the forum.
I've just now started to fool with the "manual" settings and I think it's going to do all that I will require.
Now if I can just get a good deal on some SD cards I'll be all set!

What size SD cards? And what do you consider a good deal? I've seen 512's going for $35-$40.
