when did you get the camera?
are you happy with it?
congrats on your first conversion. What did you use to convert it?
I tried DPP, but everytime it loads, it just brings up a windows error box and shuts the program down...

I got it today for $959 Price Match after my local Best Buy finally got me one in to try for 14 days. So far I really like it and can't wait to get outside tomorrow and play around with it more. Give: RawShooter (http://www.pixmantec.com/products/rawshooter.html) a try and its 100% totally FREE even though it says Trial Version and thanks to George Riehm for providing the link to it.

Used it to clean up the little bit of ISO noise too. Notice the Coffee Cup in the two photos.

Oh, I have that program too, It doesn't work though. It doesn't detect any of my raw files. If I click on the folder, nothing comes up. If I right click on the file and choose RSE it opens up the program and gives an error stating that the file is being used by another program???
C1 has been removed, and CS doesn't do the raw format, so what other program other than DPP which has never successfully opened a raw file could be using it? I will try to open it in safe mode and see if something is interfeering.

You might need to uninstall some apps and start over.

I bought it for $959 but they have a 14 day return policy and they have been very accommodating with me on all my purchases. No problem getting them to ad match even some on line prices.

Congratulations! The raw image download worked well for you. I am sure that you will enjoy the 350 XT. Have fun with it.

Careful with the 14 day return policy...they charge a 15% restocking fee on cameras. Not that you'll need to return it!

They only are suppose to charge the 15% after the 14th day but since I'm in pretty good standing with the Manager they haven't given me any problems going 30 days on the Fuji E550 I returned. So far I'm enjoying it but need some Sunlight outside.

ISO 800 and bad overcast:

I think the color rendering is pretty accurate using the default setup.

whoop whoop, now I can stop shooting in Raw+Jpeg, and just shoot raw. I emailed the tech support for RSE and they sent me a new file to install after I uninstalled the other one. It works great! I wish the results would load faster so it doesn't get blurry wile processing the changes. Did you also experience this?

Yea it is a little slowish but nothing bad at all, maybe a couple of seconds at most (It's FREE and a very nice program). I'm running a high end custom built computer, by me so I know its not the PC. I haven't loaded the Canon software yet and my apps. that came with the A95 won't recognize the Rebel XT so I've been just reading THE CF Card through Windows XP for now. I'll load the software that came with the XT if I decide to keep the camera.
