View Full Version : backing up memory card while traveling

I'm planning on upgrading my camera and have realized with increased file size of images and the fact that I like to use the movie mode on my camera (I'm not good about taking my camcorder), that when I go on vacation, unless I bring my laptop (which I try not to do) I need to find a storage solution. I realize I can buy a slew of memory cards and if that is the solution I'll have to deal. I have a 3rd generation Ipod and was contemplating using this but I've heard mixed reviews on the belkin adapter that is used for this purpose. I have contemplated upgrading to an Ipod photo but see mixed reviews on this too. Not sure what portable hard drives are available that have been reliable. Any one have a good/safe solution? (don't want to lose those precious shots of grandma)

I generally travel with a small notebook computer and use it to backup my camera memory cards.
