Hello everybody.

I have bought a DSL Nikon D7000 with a standard telephoto 18-105 Nikkor.

I am now on the lookout for another lens with a better range and lenses quality.

I am thinking about the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX DG OS HSM - Nikon Fit.

If I could I would go for Nikkor 70-200 F2.8 but it's double the price and have read that the VR is not that good on it.

Does anybody has the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX DG OS HSM - Nikon Fit?

How does this behave? What is your opinion on the lens?

Any comments will definitely help in making my mind up.

Thanks everybody.

I own the Sigma lens, and while I can't compare it to the Nikkor, I do feel its good value for the money. Good color rendition and decent sharpness. I do feel its a little slow in auto-focusing, since I often get some blurry action shots, but that may also be a shortfall of my D200. I don't think you'll be at all disappointed, although from reading several reviews, the Tamron 70-200 may be superior optically.
