Hello all... I am reasonably experienced with film photography, and want to acquire a digital point and shoot camera. I'll be keeping my canon a1 for the really high-quality stuff i want to shoot. What I am looking for

price <= 200 USD
highest possible optical quality
at least 3x optical zoom
smaller rather than larger (i.e. comfortably cargo-pocketable)

ive done some preliminary searching and discovered that the following cameras fit this description

fuji a340
kodak CX7430
olympus d580

the fuji looks good on paper, but it is $50 less than the others. is there something i'm missing? have i passed up any others that should be on the list?

finally, having never owned a digital camera, i'm wondering about resolution vs. lens quality. is it better to go with a 3 or 4 megapixel camera in this price-range (i.e. is the money better spent on lens/camera quality or more resolution)?

The best approx. $200 digital camera is the Canon A-80. The current internet price hovers right around that magical $200 price. The A-80 has many more options and much more quality than the digital cameras that you listed.
