I couldn't watch that with a straight face. I kept imagining him wearing my daughters fairy wings.

It's a fine line between not dumping on someone who can't comment back and dumping on someone who's just asking for it in exposing himself to the world like that:)

What firmware are you using? One of the comments said that it won't work with firmware v 1.03

Baahhh... Buy the battery grip and shoot 100 frames before it stops.

ACtually, just tried it and it works with fw v1.03 too. Pretty cool. Wish I didn't have to hold down the Fn button, as it slightly reduces my agility / speed with the shutter and how solidly I can grip the camera... but it's nice to know that I can crank 8 fps out of the D300 when necessary.

When do you all use 8fps? I could use it in sports. But you must have a set focus. I have used and am interested in seeing some pics of yours...

When do you all use 8fps?

When one is standing next to somebody with a fairy camera or a group of tourists with P&S cameras.
One just pulls out the D300 points it in some direction or other runs through 8 frames in one second and nonchalantly walks off with a "just a normal procedure" attitude. The fact the images are crap and will all be deleted as soon as you go out of sight is totally irrelevant.
Of course I shouldn't have to say it but make sure that you are so close to the subject (in this case the fairy camera owner or the tourists) that they can't fail to hear the frame rate.

I can't do 8 but I found 6 fps usefull on this day.

I also use 6 fps to get a decent facial expression when photographing severely disabled children that can't "watch the birdie".:(

 Why would you want to waste a minute of your life trying to impress someone with what you have and they don't? What an obnoxious and immature way to live.

That reply video is comedy of the most tragic kind. Oh, it's an embarrassing day for Canon users when that kind of waste of bandwidth is posted to the internet.

But on topic, yeah it's great to know it can do 8fps should the need arise. (Have to remember to programme a settings bank though now to use it)

PS. Dalewalk, it's more immature to create a fake user ID to post your comments because your too gutless to paste it under your own real nickname

Let me see? For the same reason someone would dig up a 5 month old thread to make a pointless post. Yeah that sounds about right.

Let me see, again? For the same reason someone wakes up thinking it's a good idea to go trolling.

Let me see, one more time? For the same reason someone would let jealousy get the best of them.

I suppose some people just have nothing better to do!
