Rooz. I am flattered you ask but I dont think your landscapes suck. Really like the one you had recently with a sun setting (which i commented on) I have been out of the scene for a while (single handedly delivering a deadline at work and working with muppets) so need to look at flickr a bit more (doesnt help the bastards at work have barred it!).

Will have a closer look and give my critique (which is hopefully useful!).

My key ingredient for landscapes is foreground.

Also, something interesting i learnt is that we all mostly read left to right. Hence photos are viewed left to right (the brain reads it that way). Therefore try and lead the eye into the photo the way it will be viewed. Key interest in the left...maybe a footpath or a fence, a rock etc.

anyway, will have a look :)

the biggest thing for me in CS4 is the burning/dodging and HDR

worth the upgrade? I don't know but its very damn impressive

There are real improvements with masking too. They have quick buttons for curves, saturation etc instead of you creating the masks manually. watch the vid to see what I mean.

HDR capability will be interesting.

It IS a lot of money, but not as an upgrade!

What's changing with HDR? I saw the combining of exposures with different focus, which seems like a great way to integrate "focus stacking" into PS, but in that video they did not talk about HDR.
