My Nikkor 17-55 came in the mail today (B&H). Here are a few so-so shots I was able to take. So far I am amazed at this lens. I didnt realize how close the minimum focus distance is. Tack sharp and brilliant. There is a little blur in some of the pictures because my shutter was too slow. in post processing (Lightroom) all I did was adjust exposure slightly. Here are a few of my favorites, and the rest can be seen here (http://chrisross.smugmug.com/gallery/3249106#179814491)

I hate you now. :):):)

I was looking at this lens on the net last night trying to figure out what would be better the 17-55, 70-200 f2.8VR or a D200 body as they are all in a similar price range.

Get them all (or at least that is what I usually recommend). Myself, I purchased them in the following order: 70-200mm VR, D200, then 17-55mm. Of course, each time it seems I let Chris try something out, he purchases it. LOL.
