Looks interesting.

Would definately be interested, but i am not sure about the rechargeable battery. The point of the battery grip is that i could bash in some AA's in there
(and hence never be limited). however, if you could get 5000 shots out of it, that wont be such a problem!

might put it on the ol watchlist..

apparently they are now making these a regular line so they will be around. a friend of mine has a 3rd party grip, (not this one), for his d80 and 2 3rd party batteries that he bought from the same vendor. they work a treat and are less than half the price of the nikon versions. so i would guess that this product would be pretty decent cos they are a reputable dealer.

even if its only 10% true, thats still 500 shots. plus another 500 from a fully charged battery. well who shoots 1000 shots in one go ? lol

I'll buy that for a dollar, @ 5000 pics it's in the range of more than five standard batteries my only question would be, how long it holds a charge?

Looks pretty interesting. I would say the problem would be how long will the battery life be good for. Meaning, not the charge, but how long before having to replace the actual cells. And, can they be replaced? That is one nice thing about the Nikon grip, just spend $45-50 and get another battery if the cell goes bad; which we all know they do.
