I was looking to buy my family members those tiny easy to use cameras and I casually landed on this on amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000M4J2MG/ref=s9_asin_title_2-1966_g1/104-3155589-0248765?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0SK1PQ3ERCYVDEN7HKJ9&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=278240301&pf_rd_i=507846

They are so small I might buy one for myself as well to have just in case.

Are there any even smaller cameras?

I have a W50 and my sister has this camera (W55).

I can tell you right now, look at a camera that has image stabilization (OIS, IS, VR). I recently was at a family function and the OIS made all the difference for just about every photo.

Most manufacturers make an ultracompact camera that are roughly the same size as that Sony. Some are bigger and some are smaller, but the differences in size are relatively minor. There are many differences in quality, features, and formats so you should check out the reviews to decide what you like.
