Hello everybody, this is my first post

I need to get a wide angle lens for my fz30 and I've been trying to find out reviews (without any luck) about the cheapy hong-kong/japanese wide angle lenses sold on ebay. Can anybody enlighten me about this, please?

The models I'm talking about can be found in the link below:

http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%2Fws %2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=fz30+wide+angle+lens&category0=

I hope I'm not breaking any of the forum's rules by providing that link. If so, please accept my apologies.

Thank you in advance

ok thing 1 ~ you are in the wrong section, should be in Panasonic
thing 2 ~ those cheap wide converters are rubbish
heres a link for some better ones with tests

follow the FZ30 links
you will get more advice in the Panasonic forum, try reposting there

cheers

I have the Raynox 6060-55 and can personally verify that it's awesome. The zoom is usable to about 3x then you start to get some really bad CA and other types of distortion but usually if you have a wide angle mounted you aren't going to be zooming. The raynox is nice because it's a .66x converter taking the fz30's effective 35mm equiv focal length down to around 24mm which is pretty wide. Some of the other wide angle converters aren't that much of a drop or as good quality wise.
