Hi everyone. I finally did it-bought my 1st ever camera at age 66. All these years I have wanted a good camera but never for various reasons (money) bought one & now I have taken the plunge. I have no interest in snap shots of the grandkids or the dog-the wife does that. I want to take one, just one of thoses great photos that just reaches out and grabs you and you cannot forget it. What are dreams for if not to motivate you to do something? After serious research & comparisom I purchased my E500 because it filled all of my requirments, looks good, fits fine, & has all the settings I want to learn to use (P,A,S & M). The scene modes are an added attraction also along with the two lens that came with the camera. Now having said all of that I would like to know if the basic photo courses available online are worth spending the money & time to take them? Here is one which I have found. http://www.betterphoto.com/courseOutline.asp?cspID=135 Comments appreciated. Thank you. CTE

hi heres a site you might like to check out for E-500 info

getting some training anyway you can is a good idea
but i wouldnt pay for anything unrecommended
google is good for specific issues
try the scene modes and see what the settings are is another point
local libraries for books etc
