View Full Version : Need help getting my lions uncrossed. (And I do mean lions)

Dear all,
I went to the zoo several days ago to do a field study of lions for a sculpture project, and I took quite a few pictures. Unfortunately, the male lion (my primary subject) ended up spending the most time at the end of the cage with a fine grid of bars. Because of a fence and bushes, I had to stand about 3 feet away from the bars.
I have an FZ5, so I was able to zoom in far enough that the camera would focus on the lion, and not the bars, but the bars still show up as transparent smears on the picture. They're still usable for study purposes, but I got a few really good poses, and if it's at all possible I'd like to get rid of them using Photoshop Elements 4 so I can print them. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to do this? A resized example photo is posted below (hopefully).
