Hey guys a have a nikon coolpix3400, and i'm looking at a new sd card. I saw in a future shop ad, a ATP 512mb 60x card for $60(cdn)/ 50.25(usd). Is that a good deal? Is ATP even any good?

Not a brand I have heard of here in the states. But most cards seem pretty reliable. Over here $65 will get you a 1GB card these days. I saw 512MB cards on sale for $20 after rebate this weekend.

ATP is fairly well known in the computer circles as making very respectable memory. Their SD cards are rated at 60X and make my standard Lexar SD cards look stupid. They tested pretty well here: www.robgalbraith.com (in the CF Database).

I purchased a 512 SD from Zipzoomfly.com and have been thrilled with it. Almost went for the Kingmax, but I was put off by the fact that they (the Kingmax cards) don't have a write-protect tab and are reported to be thinner than other cards (makes me think they're cutting corners).

Zipzoomfly has a $20US rebate on the ATP 512 SDs until the end of the month, so I may pick up another 512MB...quite a steal at $37 (after rebate).

(no, I don't work for ZZF. I just like them because they don't overcharge for shipping to Hawaii)
