I wish it is true. If so, I can buy a five(!) spare batteries for $100 or even less.

Thanks for the info . . . I hope you are right. I have pre-ordered a K10D but the only negative I saw was the proprietary battery. My past experience with these type batteries on Samsungs & Sony's was not positive.

I swear all those fat proprietary batteries like those seen on the REbel, Nikons and yes the K10 and Sony all look the same.

For anyone interested in batteries I recommend Energizer Rechargable 25mAh. I have been using them for about 2yrs now and they are the best thing since sliced bread. They cost about $20 AU for a pack of 4 batteries and I simply recharge them after I have put the camera away for the night. A set of 4 batteries in my Pentax K100D will take about 500 or so pics with the flash ON and over a 1000 pics without the flash. They are lightweight and easy to get a hold of. And they are a heck of a lot cheaper than the "battery packs" that the camera companies want you to use.

Don't think these will last too long - unless U meant 2500 mAh

you mean the 2500mAH LoL. Yea I bought the charger + 4 AA pack for like $26.99CAN or something liek that at Walmart. So far so good, shot about 400 photos already.

Jeff would love the charger. LoL. Its the "plug into the wall" types. ;)

Yes. 2500mAh is good, but they will not work with K10D due to voltage issues.
