Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a spare battery for a canon SD600 and I saw a lot of postings on Ebay for a generic NB-4L Li-Ion battery (not made by Canon) like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/CANON-SD630-SD600-SD450-SD430-SD400-SD30-Battery-NB-4L_W0QQitemZ280010643632QQihZ018QQcategoryZ43434QQ rdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Has anybody bought and used this kind of battery before? It's like three times cheaper than the one made by Canon and I'm wondering if they're the same in terms of function and battery life.

Thanks!

Yeah, when I had the SD400. Lasted about 1/3 long as the original Canon on one charge. Your result may vary.
