Moon Photo - two moons?

Newbie question.
I just picked up a 300mm lens for my d70, one reason was for the lunar eclipse. I played with the shutter speed and fstops to get some pretty good results but early on when it was on the night preset I was getting double images.

What's the explanation for this

Did you have filter on your lens when you took that shot? I got the ghosting on my shots too, but then remembered to remove the lens filter. No ghosting after that!

For the record, I didn't get ghosting on every shot, just some of them. But none when the filter was removed.
