I shoot a lot of commercial still life, sports, outdoor wildlife and landscapes.
I have just been asked by a bunch of parents from one of the teams I shoot to do a bunch of family portraits for them.

What sort help can anyone give me on shooting these families of 3 to 6 people in each family. The shoot will be in my house with my 20D

I have some of and plan on getting the following items.

Flash activated promaster flash

I need help on shooting modes, distance and maybe the best lens (fixed) or will my zoom in the signature below be good.

I have been playing around all day trying to get the perfect light, focus, stops, poses etc... (the wife has been very patient)

I am going out to Lowes to get a few directional artist lamps now as all the real shops are closed. I have 'till next Saturday to get this right.

If anyones needs any further info to help provide answers, just ask away.

I have photo release forms for landscape, still life and commercial photographs but just realized I don't have a good release for portraits and family portraits. Does any one have a good basic release that I can have signed for these family and portrait shoots?
