I'm getting a D50 on the 25th (thanks Santa) and I need so accessories. How would you best spend $350.00? Bear in mind that I only have what will be in the kit and a 128mb SD card from my P&S. Ready...? GO!

I am assuming you will have a decent lense, but if not I would choose that over all the suggestions below. Obviously you can't have everything listed here, but you can pick and choose :)
1. Extra Battery: ~$30
2. Large Memory Card (again...Large Memory Card :) ;) ) 1GB~$90
3. Nikon Flash (SB-600~$185 or SB-800 ~$300)
4. Nikon 50mm f/1.8 ~$100
5. Circular Polarizer ~$50

There's so many options - what do you want? a faster lens? a longer lens? a flash? etc etc etc...
My suggestions:
I'd say definitely get a 1Gig high speed SD card (around $50-$60, if you shop around).
With the remaining $300, i'd probably go for a Nikkor 50mm/1.8 (~$100), and an SB-600 Speedlight (~$190)...

EDIT: heh, ktixx - you just reinforced all my suggestions.. :D

Card as mentioned - you need 1GB it's only 130 odd RAW images.
Wouldn't bother with a battery you get about 800 photos out of a charge.
Probably the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 everybody raves about.
Nikon Capture, RAW Shooter Premium, Bibble or some other form of RAW editing software (around US$100) to better edit the images.
A really good colour printer.
Wait for a bag and any other accessories like zoom lenses until you get a better understanding of what type of photography you will do and what equipment you like to carry. If others are buying these things for you gift vouchers will probably be more useful.

Lastly and most importantly.
You will need patience on the morning of the 25th. It takes 2 hours to charge the battery and that 2 hours will seem like 2 weeks to you. Sorry, but the wait will be worth it.
