These are real pics taken by a real consumer who bought the lens from a real store in Korea. I have no idea why the lens hasn't manifested itself here yet...

These were all taken with a D70s using the 18-200 VR at various focal lengths. IS was turned on for all of these. f/5.6 for all. Although not full size, I'm impressed given that this is a convenience lens.

Hey Rex,

They're back up now.

Here are some D200 (not necessarily 18-200VR) pics. We're finally starting to see real pictures and not the in-store shot junk we've been fed the past couple weeks.

Another batch of 18-200 and D200 photos. This should be the last one before it launches. Many of these were taken at 1600-3200 ISO, and these are real world photos like the ones above.

18-200 @ 1000-1600 ISO (http://www.slrclub.com/bbs/vx2.php?id=newproduct_nikon&page=13&sn1=&sid1=&divpage=3&sn=off&sid=off&ss=on&sc=off&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=13619)
D200 + 12-24/28-70/70-200VR/85/1.4 (http://www.slrclub.com/bbs/vx2.php?id=newproduct_nikon&page=2&sn1=&sid1=&divpage=3&sn=off&sid=off&ss=on&sc=off&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=13875)
D200 converted from RAW (http://www.slrclub.com/bbs/vx2.php?id=newproduct_nikon&page=2&sn1=&sid1=&divpage=3&sn=off&sid=off&ss=on&sc=off&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=13858)

Here's the final batch of D200 sample photos from the same people, all real stuff using all lenses and all ISO's. I'm very pleased with the image quality. Noise reduction was only applied where mentioned.

18-200 VR (http://www.photosium.com/bbs/zboard.php?id=d200&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=39) (really nice dynamic range)
More (http://www.photosium.com/bbs/zboard.php?id=d200&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=40)
And More (http://www.photosium.com/bbs/zboard.php?id=d200&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=40)

And to prove that these all came from a D200 (apart from the EXIF).

Holy smokes...Very (very) impressive.

Now the question is how do I save up $1700? $2400 if you include the 18-200 VR...;) Still cheaper than the 5D... until you add the 80-200 f/2.8.

I'm quite happy with what I've seen so far. Most deffinitly not "Sigma" quality.

I'm cutting down the initial package for the D200 and opting for a 50/1.8 and 85/1.8 combo to tide me over until I can pick up a nice zoom. This also keeps the expenses in line with my proposed Canon kit. That's assuming that I can even get a D200...
