If possible, I would like some feedback on the following two lenses...

Tamron XR Di 28-75mm 2.8
Tokina 28-70mm 2.8 AT-X AF Pro SV

Ive heard mixed reviews on the Tokina and many positives said about the Tamron. I have also read that they can have problems focusing in low light conditions. What are your experiences and thoughts on these lenses for use with the D50? Thanks for all the help guys!

I don't own or use a D50, but I can also vouch for the Tamron's superiority over the Tokina. Yes, the focusing problems are true and will bite you in trickier situations, but it's a superb lens for the cost. If you require fast and accurate AF, you'll have to fork over the big bucks for the superb but pricey 17-55 DX, 28-70 or the 17-35. Nothing's for free. :)
