Not to answer for Jeff, but my first question is why? This is a Digital Camera Resources Page. I'm pretty sure that there are general discussion sites on the web already...

I strongly vote no, there are plenty of those elsewhere and off topic stuff always ends up in the on topic posts.

I like off-topic threads myself, though I don't want to have to manage one here. They frequently end up filled with hate messages, porn, or worse... so I'll probably say "no" to that for the time being.
