Searching the web for a D50, I was ready to order through butterflyphoto.com. Then I came across genius cameras, http://www.geniuscameras.com/welcome.asp,
they had the D50,(body only), for $414 add the 18-55mm lens and the price goes to 549. TheD70s,(body only), is $449(US) and 699 with the 18-70mm lens added.

Has anyone delt with them before? They say all products are brand new and come with a US warranty. I am going to check the BBB in New Jersey to see if there are any comments.

Wow, thanks Kenyada for the information. These guys seem like real slimes. They lowball the camera and push the extras at inflated prices. I'm going to stay with the "reputable" dealers and save myself the potential nightmare of dealing with crooks like this.

I guess the saying is correct, if it seems to good to be true then it probably is...

Glad I could help. Your red flags seem to be working just fine. :)

I had the same concerns. Decided to try centraldigital.com. user reviews were overall positive.
$668 for the D50 kit - black
$59.99 for the Mack 3yr extended warranty
$19.99 for 3 day fedex priority

Ordered it Wed. morning, got the phone call to verify info. They offered an additional battery for $39.99, which I accepted since it didn't seem too bad of a deal. Received shipping notification from Fedex that afternoon and received it today. Big plus was the mack warranty they sent was a 5yr instead of the 3.
