I own a SIGMA 28-200 UC lens, used for a PENTAX MZ-50 - which I'd like to reuse with a PENTAX *ist (DSLR).

Is this SIGMA lens compatible with the PENATX *ist ?
If not, is there a mount/adaptor that can make the work ?

Yes it'll work perfectly if it fits on your MZ-50 with no adapters.
Pentax has stuck with their K mount since 1974. And even then, their older screwmount works with a simple $10 adapter.
