Has anyone taken a Macro with the Sigma 28-200mm Macro AF and the ist DS? If you have please post a photo.

I Haven't used it, but I was considering it and decided for Sigma 70-300 APO Macro Suprer II since I heard very little good words about the lens you're asking about (except for it's zoom range). Here is a sample macro picture. First is a 25% resized, second is a 100% crop.

You could always turn any lens into macro lens by getting extender tubes.

By moving the lens farther from the camera, the focus distance is shortened.
You can try this effect by holding the lens in front of the camera instead of mounting it on the camera.

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but it's just something very interesting I found out recently. It works really well.

Uploaded images to my ISP account and it works fine, but I've seen many images in this forum that were uploaded to forum and displayed right in the message. Can't figure out how it's done.

Interested to know at what distance the photo was taken. Brought a sigma 70-300 apo DG macro lens today looking forward to having a play with it soon :D

the distance was 3-4 feet or somewhere arround 1m.
