While you're waiting for the final reviews of these two cameras, I thought you'd enjoy seeing a comparison of our standard test scene for the Canon PowerShot SX1 and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX1. The photos were taken on a tripod in aperture priority mode (both at F5.6) and custom white balance.
Do note that I left out the ISO 80 shot on the Canon (since the Sony starts at ISO 125) and the ISO 3200 photo on the Sony (for the same reason).
