Since I had both of these ultra zoom cameras at the same time I thought it would be nice to take some side-by-side photos. I did my best to frame them in the same way (though I wasn't perfect). Both cameras were used in Program mode at the highest JPEG quality with their ISO sensitivity set to the lowest available value. All shots were handheld unless otherwise noted.
You can click on the thumbnail to see the full-size image. Click on "View EXIF Data" to see the settings used for the photo. Do note that Canon does not embed the ISO value into the EXIF data for some unknown reason.
Photos were taken in Stockton and Lodi, both of which are east of where I live.
