Here are some side-by-side photos
that you can use to compare the Canon PowerShot G6
and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-V3. Photos were taken at the
same time and both cameras were used in Program mode
with settings at their defaults. Image quality was
at the highest JPEG setting available.

The View EXIF data link shows the exposure information
and other settings. For some reason, Canon doesn't
embed the ISO setting in the EXIF data. I used ISO
50 for the G6 and ISO 100 for the V3, the lowest options
available on each.
Photos were taken in Stockton,
Lodi, Antioch, and Oakland, CA.
I replaced some of the original photos
which had radically different apertures. The last three
photos were taken at F4 on both cameras.
