Once the Compact Flash Adapter becomes available 3/31/99 this will be the best alternative. Picture quality is good. I did see a review that said it has problems with sharp colors where contrasts are next to each other. A purple flower (see sample photos) next to a green blade, came out blue, and could not be corrected. Flash pictures came out blue but were easily corrected (with Microsoft PictureIt). Manual says that the camera has problem with motion technology, but I have not found this the case (picture of vehicle moving 35mph included). The software works on NT, but not Win3.1 which is a problem for vacation goers that don't have $2000 to sink into a laptop (this is shared with most other cameras). I have not played with the "Interpolation" so I am not sure how they manage that, but the Photovista software has great potential, buy a cheap tripod!!!
