DCRP Review: Olympus E-20N Photo Gallery

You read our review of this camera, right?

Photos 1-10 were around the Golden Gate Bridge. With all the horrible talk of it being destroyed in a terrorist act, I knew it's where I had to go. Some of these turned out a lot darker than I expected.

Photo 11 shows the old Letterman Hospital in the Presidio. This will be the site of LucasFilm's new headquarters.

Photos 12-21 are of Mission Dolores, in San Francisco. Wow, what a place!

Photos 22-26 are taken in downtown SF.

Photos 27-32 show a popular, unofficial skate park along the Embarcadero. Action shots!

I've noted any special modes I used underneath the photo.

Same shot but in Progressive Scan mode, which has half the vertical resolution. Blow up this one and the one before to see the differences.

Tried to be artistic; not sure if it worked.

Flash shot (and check out that barrel distortion).

Great shot!

Crooked, but I had a makeshift tripod.

Another railing used as a tripod.

Those walls and roof tiles are original! The mission dates from the late 1700's!

Looking straight up at 101 California. This picture is interesting for three reasons. One, because it's notorious for a workplace shooting several years ago. Two, because of the reflection of the Airtouch building. And three, because of the chromatic aberrations!

The same shot in progressive scan mode looks like crap.

This is the only one of the series taken in interlaced scan (normal) mode. The shutter speed was a little too slow to freeze the action though.

The rest of these are all progressive scan shots, taken continuously in shutter priority mode.
