DCRP Review: Canon EOS-20D

by Jeff Keller, DCRP Founder/Editor
Last Updated: December 17, 2007

You read our review of this camera, right?

The photographs below were taken at default settings, with the ISO fixed at 100. The image quality and resolution were at their highest levels. The Canon F2.8L 24-70 mm lens was used for all the shots, unless otherwise noted.

Photos 1-7 were taken in and around Chinatown.

Photos 8-13 are from Stanford University.

Photos 14-15 were taken in San Mateo, CA.

Photos 16-17 were taken in SF's Union Square. I took these with the Canon 10-22 EF-S lens.

Photos 18-22 were taken here at home and around town (Brentwood, CA). I took these with the Canon 10-22 EF-S lens.

Clicking on the thumbnail will display a reduced, 800 x 600 image. Clicking on the link below that will show the full-size (large!) image. Please do not judge the photo quality from any image except for the full-size image, as these smaller images were recompressed when they were downsized.

I've noted any special modes I used underneath the photo. You can click on "View EXIF data" to get additional information about each photo.

This is a tough shot to meter but the camera did a pretty good job. This was even more impressive in person.

Look at that distortion! I accidentally took this one and the next one at ISO 1600.
