Exclamation Eh what? The Sanyo C5 Digital Media Camera?

Boy! I don't know if this post will get anyone's attention but I gotta try.

I saw and online advert for Sanyo's (yeah, them) upcoming C5 Digital Media Camera ($670 est). While Sanyo isn't even a notable player in the US digicam market, they are taking a leap ahead of the pack by offering a 5MP camera with MPEG-4 recording capabilities.

That means you can capture 60 minutes of near-DVD quality video on a 1GB SD memory card.

I hope that Jeff considers reviewing this camera. I doubt that it will hold a candle to the likes of Canon's Powershot S2 IS but I'm hoping that other manufacturers will begin incorporating MPEG-4 into their cameras.

This camera is small, thin and light weight. The camera can be easily operated by one hand. I got my Sanyo Xacti DMX-C5 from warehouse123.com. It's only US$585. Reasonable prices and great stuff!!

Thumbs up

oh man, I got mine one for almost $700!!!
even though it's an awesome machine, did you buy the 1GB card, you can do recording up to an hour!! also, it's EXTREMELY an eye-catching gear while you are on the street

I found the lowest price the Sanyo VPC-C5! It's only US$425! Bronze, silver and white are available! Also, Sharper Image is selling a blue special edition one for $800.

The size of this camera is good! And the quality of the LCD is excellent! I love this baby.
