Default Convert 35mm to digital

I have a 35mm macro Dental Eye.
I "heard" there is a way to convert it to digital and keep the body and optics.
Any ideas / suggestions anyone???
Thank you.

There have been good reports of using the Panasonic FZ10 as an intraoral camera as well as the Nikon 995/4500 etc.

All you need is good macro capabilities, for which I do suggest Nikon. It'll be much cheaper than converting a camera plus, if the wide-angle capability isn't wide enough then photos can be stitched together.
