Parallel Imports?

Hi there, I live in NZ and am going to be buying a Panasonic Lumix FX7 or FX8

There are a number of stores here that sell parallel imported cameras.
These are about $100-$150 (New Zealand dollars) cheaper then normal stores.
The warranties they claim are for 1 year.

Just want to know if there is anything i should be aware of.....
If anyone lives in Auckland id like to know what they think of these shops...

Etop and Etown which are both in Newmarket
and Parallel Imported which has 2 stores.....
