Default HP 945 Horizontal lines problem

I got my 945 3 days ago.

Quality? Stunning!

But on 3nd day I got the famous Horizontal lines bug (as seen in your review) I got the 1.61 verion of the camera (found that out of the metadata, of the pics I took) and I realized after some tests that the lines problem occurs when I take a photo and the sunshine reaches the camera's lense. Can anyone with a 945 try this and report his result here?

Please I need help. I'll have my cam replaced but I need to gather some info to find out why this problem happens.

Thank you.

BTW. That's my 1st post
Hope to see replys soon!

Default Good grief, yes!

Yep, same thing happened to me. I tried 3 different cameras before I gave up.
On the third one, the lens wouldn't retract. I returned it in the off position with the lens stuck out.
It took the most beautiful pictures except for those blasted lines in the outdoor pics.
I have never been able to get another camera that takes the same gorgeous pictures as this one.
I almost feel like getting another one and accepting the crappy lines, just to get nice indoor pictures.
What a sacrifce though.
