Question HP Camera Owner

It seems that no many people here use HP camera. If you are HP users, please share your experience with me!

I recently bought HP Photosmart as recommended by my sister. It is good enough for its price (after staff discount) as a camera for snap shots. However, I am planning to attend photography course and might need to get a Digital SLR. And it seems that HP is not the way to go?

Hi Gary

I'll reply. I am an HP945 user, currently HP's top end camera (5mp 8x optical zoom) there is absolutley no reason why you will need to buy a dSLR, just because you are going on a photograpy course!

Depending on your model you may come unstuck in a few places if aperture and shutter priority settings are needed. Lots of compact digitals offer these settings these days anyway.
According to an HP rep in the UK, HP have no plans to release an updated version of the 945 let alone think about dSR. HP seem to focus their attention on ease use with good quality images, for this reason alone I do not believe HP will ever produce a dSLR.
