I chose those cameras because I wanted a decent, but not too expensive camera, and I would just use it on vacations/events, pictures of buildings, print and web/email
Agent_j, You have put all the Digcams that are there on the earth. Eliminate some by reading reviews. If possible, tell us about which brand you like etc..

There's little to orient ourselves on from what you tell us!
Do you need wide angle? Action shots? Do you care about size? Battery type? Do you need manual controls? How important are night-capabilities to you, focusing, high ISO, etc? What is your budget?
I own a Canon A80 and like it very much. It's especially good indoors with flash - very portable and great battery life. The only negative (if this is important to you) is the movie mode isn't as good as for example the Canon S1 IS. In any case, I highly recommend it. There are tons of reviews on a lot of the cameras you listed so I suggest you do a bunch of research to learn pros and cons of each. One thing for sure - there is no "perfect" camera. If you want pure speed, go DSLR but be prepared to sacrafice compactness and go through a learning curve. DSLR is not point and shoot but personally I really enjoy the learning experience, outstanding performance and great results. Good Luck!
That's a pretty long list to choose from. I have been considering the Sony DSC-P93 and P92 for my wife who likes the size and photo quality of these cameras.
