Default DSC-V3 vs PowerShot G6 vs Other?

I've been really looking into what camera I should purchase. My choices are
  • PowerShot G6
  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-V3
  • Other?

I am going to be taking pictures of nearly everyting, from amusement parks to night shots at haunted attractions (lighting such as to everyday fun shows to landscape to art, etc. Basically everything. Video does not matter at all. I want the image to be as accurate as possible. The price range should be similar to those or less.

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

EDIT: I hope to achieve quality like this and this.

jaymatal-

The list you have provided us is a list of very different digital cameras. If photo quality is your sole priority, then my choice would be the Canon G-6, hands down.

However if BOTH picture quality and zoom capability are a dual priority, then you ought to be looking at, in my humble opinion, at the Panasonic FZ series digital cameras.

Thanks for the reply. I've narrowed it down to the PowerShot G6 and the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-V3. Both look like great cameras and are VERY similarly priced...

The prices are phenominal, especially with what extras are included. Any problems with the site? It is certified.

The Sony seems to have more features, one which caught my eye is the Nightshot mode. The Canon simply is rated better nearly everywhere.

Can someone throw me towards either one? THANKS!

PS - Are these concidered "good" cameras for non-pro?

The Canon G-6 is the better choice. It has received outstanding reviews and if you read Jeff keller's reviews on these two digital cameras located right here on this website, you will be that the Canon G-6 comes out on top.

You will also note that CF chips are a good deal less expensive than the Sony Memorystick family. One gig CF chips can be had for around $50 to$60. You won't find that kind of price on Memorysticks.

However, in the final analysis, it is you who will use the digital cameras, on a day to day basis, so it is very, very important that you are satisfied with this/your decision.

Personally I have never had any dealings at all with A & M Photo World. However if you look at the Kodak section of this forum, you will find some VERY negative comments about this firm.

Thanks for your help. I am NOT going with A+M, I read the reviews and there was some incredibly bad stuff going on with the company. I'm surprised the law has not gotten to them yet. Thanks again!

Still open to other comments!

If you see ridiculously low prices like $350 for the G6 on that site, it's too good to be true. Save yourself the time and money and buy from reputable dealer. You should be paying somewhere between $500 and $550 for a G6 on average. $600 is the list price.

Also watch out for Dell.com.
There can be some 15% off + $55 combined offer, which makes G6 and V3 both $454 shipped.

I almost jumped on the deal, but I have my heart set for
KM A200.

Default look at this ranking info

http://www.viewscore.com/category_pa...tr_2_type=less

they aggregate all relevant reviews.
i just filtered the search to professional camera with above 6MP.

i think you should try playing with this system.
