Default Mack Warranty $45 @ digitalcameraden.com?

Any feedback on this place? They seem legit (referred to them from Mack website) but seems to good to be true. $45 for a 5 year warranty for any digital camera under $1k and you only have to buy the warranty within 30 days of buying the camera new. So, theoretcially I could buy the a setup from the local Ritz/Wolf and not pay the $200-$300 for their 2 year warranty and only pay the $45 for Mack's?

Is a Mack warranty OK too?

I have no direct experience with them, but a quick Google search shows a lot of unhappy Mack customers:

Angry Warranties other than manufacturer's

From what I've heard extended warranties (inexpensive or expensive) are most often not worth the paper they are printed on. I'm sure there are exceptions to this but as a rule most knowledgeable folks I've spoken with won't mess with them. An individual is really at the mercy of the warrantor. All they have to declare is impact damage, negligent use or some other reason that states: "excludes warranty coverage" and the warranty holder doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Default Mack Warranty Horror Story

I have been investigating Mack warranties and found an interesting story. I may be buying elsewhere.
