Default Nikon Coolpix 950

I have an old Nikon Coolpix 950 that's having problems. The power switch has four positions (off, automatic, manual, and play). Off and automatic work correctly but manual acts like the automatic switch and play turns the camera off. Has anyone else had a problem similar to this ?

Sounds like you need a new switch. I imagine Nikon can service it for you, but it may cost you more than the camera is worth? Hard to say, those were pretty cool cameras. I still have a CoolPix 4500, even though I don't use it anymore.
