I'm purchasing my first digital camera. Did a great deal of research, including sellers. Was all ready to purchase my Canon SD700 from Newegg. However, this particular model, along with some others, can be returned only for an exchange of the exact same item, and is totally non-refundable.

Although I don't expect to need to return the camera for a refund, it makes me uneasy to know that I don't even have that option. Also, since Newegg says that most of their cameras are covered by a 30-day refundable policy, it makes me wonder why this particular model is not covered under that policy.

I know the camera is a good one, and I know Newegg has an excellent reputation, but now I'm uneasy (and I hate to say it after all the great reviews, but also a tad suspicious) about purchasing the camera from them. Does anyone have any experience with this or know why some cameras are non-refundable? BTW, Newegg has the best price of the top 4 or 5 reputable dealers. Thanks for your input.
